  • How do I check for LPG leaks?
    Secure all connections from cylinder to stove. Always use Teflon tape in case of nuts at ends of hose pipe. Prepare a shampoo/soap water mixture. Switch-On the Adaptor/Regulator and apply Shampoo/soap water mixture over all connections, check for bubbles. If bubbles appear there is leak in the system.
  • Incase of Smart-Gaz Adaptor with leak and level Display
    Secure all connections from cylinder to stove. Always use Teflon tape in case of nuts at ends of hose pipe. Switch-On the regulator/Adaptor, check the needle Level in LLD (Leak & level Display). Now switch-Off the regulator/Adaptor watch needle level for 30 seconds. If needle level drops, then there’s a leak in the system.
  • How should I store my LPG cylinder?
    Safe storage means keeping the cylinder upright in a well-ventilated area, away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Incase of continuous use the pressure may drop in the cylinder leading to solidification of LPG inside. In such cases keep the cylinder in a warm water bath for uninterrupted supply.
  • How to check LPG cylinder when it arrives?
    Check the weight of the cylinder with a weighing machine. Check if a rubber gasket is present inside the cylinder valve, (most of the times this gasket would be damaged, or cracks will appear.
  • What should I do if I smell gas?
    Immediate actions include turning off the cylinder, ventilating the area, and avoiding any ignition sources. Ensure you switch off all electrical connections near the cylinder or burner so that electrical sparks do not trigger any ignition. Wait outside for 10-15 minutes check if the intensity of the smell reduces.
  • What are the best safety devices for LPG systems?
    Smart-Gaz LPG Safety devices/ regulators/ Adaptors have multi-leakproof systems, Auto-Cutoff Valve and LLD (Leak & Level Indicator) which ensures maximum safety for preventing any LPG leaks from cylinder and hose pipes.
    Caution: Smart-Gaz Devices do not Auto-Cutoff Leak incase of burner shut down due to Air, Water or other forces.

  • How often should I inspect LPG connections and hoses?
    Although ISI Marked Hose Pipes give 5-year warranty. Regular checks for damage, cracks, or wear are advised to prevent leaks and accidents. Always double-check all connections whenever cylinder is replaced.
  • What are the risks of improper LPG handling?
    Mishandling can lead to gas leaks, fires, explosions, and even health hazards like asphyxiation.
  • What precautions should I take after cooking with LPG?
    Always turn off the gas regulator/adaptor valve and disconnect the regulator if the stove is not used for a long time.
  • In case you use Smart-Gaz Adaptor/Regulator.
    Turn-off adaptor/regulator switch whenever you finish cooking for the day. While you switch-On the next day switch on the regulator/adaptor and press Reset button for 30 seconds so that gas flow is even and smooth to all burners
  • How can I ensure proper ventilation when using LPG?
    Proper airflow in kitchens and rooms is crucial to prevent carbon monoxide buildup. Always ensure distance between cylinder and stove should at least be equal to 1.5 meters
  • What should I do in case of an LPG fire?
    Use a fire extinguisher or Sand suitable for gas fires and never use water; evacuate and call emergency services immediately.
